ABOUT THE STONE:
Known for it’s distinct & simply incredible purple color,Charoite comes from only one place & that is Siberia, Russia.It is said to be on the ‘rare” side & is not only known for its swirling hues of deep royal purples,along with plays of lighter lavender colors,but its magnificent quartzy-opalescent-pearly characteristics,as well..It's no wonder that it's found it's way into artists hands throughout the SW jewelry industry & when you see it,you will know why!! It's truly an amazing looking stone!

THE PENDANT:
Traditional,but made with a contemporary edginess,the large round cut of Charoite is highlighted with an embellishment of hand made swirls of twisted wire & scalloped-fan shaped & 1/2 moon appliques.The latter is a time consuming process,where they are made by melting the sterling into little beads & then hand pounding & forming them into shape so they can then be hand stamped.

The pendant is anchored from an artistic style bale thats made with 1/2 triangular wire that are raised from it's base.The opening is large enough to handle a large size beaded Navajo Pearl necklace,but a small would work just as well.It will comfortably fit a bead size NO LARGER than the 13.5mm necklace it is shown with in order for it to “move & breathe” on the strand.Another suggestion is by putting this on a thick leather strand for a more western look!
