THE NECKLACE:

Whether you’re after the distinct look of Santa Fe or simply driven by an intense love for the beauty of Mediterranean red Coral, this irresistibly delicious necklace may be one you won’t have to think twice about, since it’s truly a no‑brainer!

This hearty necklace is made with a substantial amount of Premium Sicilian Italian red coral that comes out of the Mediterranean. Each piece of coral is cut in a tubular bead shape & has a nice glossy polish to them. The coral's color in this is very evenly saturated & is what I would call a red/red color or a true red (As opposed to an orange red or a oxblood blue red) & it's this color of red coral that we who love coral, tend to seek out.

Used as accents that are scattered through out, are small 5 mm oxidized sterling beads, as well as little 4.5 mm round disk beads of turquoise. The finale is made with long hand made curved cones that has a 14 mm turquoise bead that sits right below the bottom of the cone. The closure has a hook & eye.

Because of it’s 34” length, this for some of you, can also be doubled & worn high on the neck for a ton of statement! (See 3rd photo) I personally love this look, because all you see is gobs & gobs of coral!!!

Anyone in this business knows how much the price of Coral has climbed to & has gotten so ridiculously expensive, which makes it unaffordable for many artists to even consider buying. In recent years, the price of Coral has greatly increased in price & compared to a few years ago when it was at about $250 a gram, it is now over $1000 -$3000 a gram for the ‘premium’ grades like you’ll find in this necklace.

Coral is now on the "RARE" list & no longer can it be fished, NOR brought in the USA. (These reasons are reflected in the price) Everyday the price goes up & the less availability, the higher the price will go.. Coral has become an ‘investment’ material & will never lose it's value for these reasons mentioned.
