It is designed in a heavily clustered 27 panel form, with each element laid precisely into this panel-style necklace. Each pearl was handpicked to ensure the panels end up the same size, which is essential for achieving uniformity and a clean, precise look. Careful consideration went into the layout during construction. It must have been extremely time-consuming to make, given the large number of pearls and the substantial size of many of them.

The design is repeated in its entirety and nowhere does it lose its form. The form and balance are important in a good design, so the weight is evenly distributed throughout, which makes the necklace that much more comfortable to wear. The pearls have a bluish-silvery hue, yet when you look closely you can also perceive the soft pinks, greens, and lavender tones that are characteristic of fine pearls.
