THE DESIGN:

Some may initially think that this is just another long sterling silver beaded necklace that you might come across every day, perhaps even flooded across countless websites or displayed in nearly every gallery you visit. However, this piece is absolutely everything BUT that! I mean,in all reality, there's no way these can be mass produced since they literally take months to make! When you read below, you will discover not only the intricate process of how this was designed, but also the many painstaking hours—it took to bring this masterpiece to life.

Architecture doesn’t simply refer to the designing of buildings; in fact, a true architect’s vision goes far beyond the physical structures themselves. Every architect tends to have their own unique and personal definition of what architecture truly means to them. In this particular case, this necklace is ‘architecturally’ designed, but not in the traditional sense—it’s conceived in metal form as it relates to the art of jewelry making.

Yes, only a ‘masterminded’ jeweler, someone who literally has years of experience and expertise under their belt, could create a necklace of this overwhelming magnitude and complexity that is so impeccably constructed. The jeweler must be highly skilled, possessing not only a mathematical, almost genius-like mind but also an exceptionally analytical and creative spirit to execute such a stunning work of wearable art.

THE NECKLACE:

Taking months and months to carefully create, this piece was made with incredible attention to detail, where each and every bead (or button) was literally domed and punched out entirely by hand. Every bead features a domed top that gives the striking illusion that the center ‘bead’ at the very top is nestled perfectly within its own tiny bezel setting. (See photos 9 through 12 for a closer view.) The overall design consists of two beads arranged horizontally and two beads arranged vertically, forming a balanced and symmetrical four-way beaded pattern in diameter. Each bead is then meticulously connected by “O” rings on the inside, which results in a unique and complex ‘interlocking’ design that allows for subtle movement while maintaining its structural integrity.

Contributing to it’s 40” length, are the numerous amount of beaded sections.. This is no light weight, flimsy style necklace,but instead has a massive amount of sterling in it which contributes to it’s super durable, just under 1 and a 1/4 POUND weight!!! (Also see weights below!) Each bead is in the 10 mm size range (About 3/8” diameter) and ends with a chunky sized deeply saturated round cut of Amethyst that is at the closure (se photo 15) With this design, you don’t have to wear the amethyst at the back, but it can be turned to where it’s shown in the front side whether the side front, center front, etc. Also, because of the length, you can just slip this over the head, instead of using the closure!

Wear this like you would any super elegant,5th Ave. sterling necklace.. This one has a timeless aesthetic that will NEVER go out of style,no matter where we go or how far we’ve come in jewelry design! The exciting thing about this, is for the fact that you can wear it to complement your other sterling pieces you’re wearing for a day or you can wear it with colored stone jewelry! Don’t matter! You can also wear it to compliment Vintage Mexican jewelry (especially with the focus on the old 1940’s Mexican amethyst & sterling jewelry!) or wear it with present day Native American jewelry! Dress it up, dress it down whether for day or night!

2) Wear it long as is, but bring the Amethyst closure to the front for a different look (see photo 6)

3) Double it & wear in a even doubled length(see photo 3)

4) Double it & wear it in a graduated style where one strand is shorter than the other (see photo 4)

5)If your waist or hips are in the 38” & up to 40” range, you can also double it as a belt!
