Not only has Federico’s prices increased, but the cost of what artists are now having to pay per gram, per ounce for sterling, since the cost of sterling & gold have gone up in price. Factored also into the price for this, is Federico’s name and his decades old reputation in the industry, the quality of the pearls, the number of carats and the cost per carat, as well as the over ½ pound of sterling that it took to make.. Also included is the need to compensate the artisan (And or staff) for the time and expertise required to make the necklace for Federico. These are just some of the elements that together explain and contribute to the higher final price of this necklace.
