A LITTLE ABOUT BENNIE:

Born March 21, 1955, on the Canoncito Navajo Reservation just outside Albuquerque, New Mexico, young Bennie was deeply influenced by the family members who surrounded him. His father, a silversmith from childhood, taught Bennie the art of silversmithing when he was only eleven years old. His father often reminded him that, “whatever path he chose in life, he would always have silversmithing to fall back on”. Taking those words of advise seriously, that’s exactly the path that Bennie chose.

Bennie Ration (Ray-She-On) is a ‘wearable art’ jewelry designer whose work frequently features finely detailed three-dimensional ceremonial figures, including kachinas, southwestern land animals, water-dwelling insects, and more. What many artists achieve with paints and brushes, Bennie renders in metal, skillfully emulating those expressive gestures while employing traditional silversmithing methods to produce clean, sculptural lines and thoughtful, tactile realistic forms. Raised in an era when natural turquoise was the standard, Bennie still prefers high-grade turquoise and consistently chooses it over the inferior, cheaper cuts, honoring both material integrity and time-honored Navajo aesthetics.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try my best to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, just so you're not disappointed when you get the item.. So please go through all photos to see ANY variation. Oranges & greens tend to come up a bit more vibrant in photos, so please take this into consideration.

In order to show all the fine detail, close up photos tend to make the item look gigantic & everything also is more magnified .So to get an accurate idea of how big these are, please view photo of it on the finger or you can pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements.
