THE TURQUOISE:

This artistically designed butterfly is made with choice quality cuts of Royston turquoise and was designed with the "turquoise connoisseur" in mind who will accept nothing less. Using only the finest Royston turquoise, one thing you'll immediately see & be able to separate, is the QUALITY that makes these cuts stand above the rest! The reason, is because these gorgeous looking cuts came from the late Larry Cooley's collection who happened to be the 'go-to guy' vendor, so when artists like Federico would be looking for top notch turquoise, Larry was the one that he & others would go to when they were looking for natural & only the best turquoise on the market. Larry collected only premium cuts from every single mine & never carried nothing less than premium and because his turquoise was mined before they started treating turquoise, means that you'd be getting nothing but natural,untreated turquoise..

Long story short, when Larry passed some years back, everyone wanted dibs on buying his whole collection,but because of Federico's close connection to Larry, Larry's family offered Federico his AMAZING collection..Yes it was extremely pricey, but worth every dollar & some of Federico's most beautifully designed pieces have Larry's turquoise.(The quality in this is dictated in the price) You can still find pieces on my site that have this impeccable quality by putting in the name "Larry" in the search bar when you are on my front page)

THE PIN/PENDANT:

This sweet little butterfly is very versatile & the great thing about it, is that you can either wear it as a pin or a pendant!!! (see photo 2 & 3! )Both ways look good!! Just depends how you're feeling for the day! This will show beautifully no matter how you wear it!! The bale is quite small, so if you threaded a necklace through it,only something of a small diameter will fit. I used a thin leather necklace that' you see in the photo.Another thing you can use, is threading it through an omega style necklace or something along those lines.

The bale is also a 'shepherds hook' & is not soldered to the base, so once you open the pin,then you'll take a pair of needle nose pliers and gently move the hook away from the base so you can then hook it onto a strand of Navajo Pearls or a beaded stone necklace. etc. (See photo 3)

**In photo 11, are other butterfly pin/pendants that are also made with Cooley's Royston turquoise, so watch out for those! The sale however, is for this one butterfly.

A NOTE:**In this business, you pay for what you get. And just like with any other gemstone, there are 'grades' with some being low grade which are less expensive, while others are high grade and are more expensive.. Turquoise is the same, with the cost being higher for 'natural turquoise' that are a high/excellent grade. I always say "look at the price" & that should give you some clue as to how good something is, especially in jewelry. Though I must note, that anything with Larry's turquoise will always come with a higher price tag, due to the quality & limited supply***
