Opals are considered both precious & semi-precious & are known for their "diffraction of light" qualities,with these being mined from the "Lightning Ridge" area of Australia.. Opals are also known for their wonderful "play of color", where with movement you see a prismatic rainbow color that ranges from lime greens,turquoise blues,periwinkle blues,vibrant oranges to yellows..

These are NOT doublets/triplet Opals,which are "Man Made" Opals & which are what sellers are calling "Opals",but rather the "Real Deal (This is apart of what dictates the price)

THE PENDANT:

The pendant is made in a double dangle floral cluster style with the beauty of opals & amethyst accents.The great thing about using opals is that you can pair them with many other gems,because the colored gems can pull from & will pair well with any one of the colors that you'll see in opals.So with that said,the amethyst were a good choice..

The colors this has are visually colorful with lots of limes,lavenders,hot colored orange reds,greens & yellows.The cabs are set in sterling & the pendant was made with a cut out open back for all that color they give off, to come through!

Its made in a 3-1/2" length(with bale) so it's not 'over the top' & In my opinion,becuase of it's size, this will show beautifully with NO MORE than a 22" length necklace,so it can lay in the decolletage area.(However,that's your choice) This small size bale will work with nothing larger than a 6 mm chain/bead(As shown in photos)
