When Federico came from Oaxaca back in the 60's,he brought with him the beautiful Paloma/Filigree jewelry from his Oaxaca birthplace & started out by setting up shop at the LA market, which at that time CHER was his very 1st customer & as his recognition grew,so did his celebrity base & since then women have been thirsty & hungry for anything that bares this man's name.Oaxaca jewelry will always be signature to this man & was actually one of the 1st who put Oaxaca jewelry on the international forefront.
This amorous necklace is designed with lots of beautifully crafted doves, which contribute to it's highly feminine-romantic-serene feel! The neckline is made where instead of all the doves facing the same way toward the closure,they are laid where each 2,face each other.(See photo 9) Each dove is hand tooled ,showing all their feathered detail & have a bead of sterling for the eye.
Connected to the dove neckline,are huge size kissing Paloma's that lay in the center & act as the anchor for the large arracada filigree drop..This large 3-1/2" center drop is made with time consuming techniques & is given a dual texture & a filigree perimeter which all the dangles hang from.
Called a "Mexican Wedding" necklace,but is not limited to! This can be worn day or night & with any wardrobe,from colorful embroidered Mexican clothing to denim,to designer!
