Known for his powerful style jewelry that can literally take your breathe away, known for jewelry that'll make you want to grab your vapors & fall to your knees, Federico didn't fall short of anything less than powerful with this necklace that has all that, plus more!! ! He went in a whole different direction than what we usually see, by taking the beauty of pearls & pairing them with gorgeous colored precious Ruby gemstones, which is something you NEVER see! This is the 1st time that I've been able to offer such a dynamic combo & no doubt, this piece here, will make you look AND feel a little more 'special' than the rest!!

It is designed in a panel style necklace, where much of the time was spent hand picking all the same sized pearls, that then act as a feminine & very elegant halo for the various sized rubies..The rubies size & shape dictate the form of each panel,so each panel varies a bit from one to the next. The Rubies have a deep Magenta/Fuchsia color & have a slight facet to them. Normally when he's using gems, Federico will leave an opening on the backside to allow light to come through, but chose to have a solid sterling backing with this necklace & because of this,the Rubies do show up darker.

There are 7 panels per side that lay along the neckline, excluding the closure's panel & the 3" center drop, that has a 2 panel drop.(see photo 9) The Rubies & Pearls are bezel set atop of a hefty amount of sterling that which contributes to it's just under,9 ounce weight.

THE CLOSURE:
Beautifully displayed with a square cut Ruby, the closure is unique to Federico & if you zoom in on photos 15,16,17, you will see how the single pearl is apart of the closure. What you do to open this, is to 'push down' on the pearl & slide the clasp out. When it's closed, the pearl is apart of the design! You'll always know where the clasp is,by looking at the backside as shown in last photos.

This is what I would consider "Finer" 'un-traditional' southwest jewelry that has a cosmopolitan-upscale edge, that will look as striking at any New York City event as it will on Michigan Ave., Las Vegas, Santa Fe or Scottsdale!
