This necklace has all that and then some! It’s an impeccably designed piece, and I’m completely in awe of every detail. I’m especially impressed with the precise bezel work — truly an art to execute correctly — and how perfectly the pearls and amethyst match in both size and color. It includes everything I look for in a well-made piece: thoughtful design, careful material selection, flawless workmanship, and a timeless elegance that elevates any outfit.

Federico himself designed this exquisite necklace, carefully hand-picking and arranging each pearl and amethyst. The material was chose for their even size, strong luster, and consistently deep, even saturated color in the amethyst, all of which contribute to the piece’s precise, harmonious, and uniform design.

TWIN PEARLS:

Pearls occur in an array of fascinating shapes and sizes, yet none are quite like the rare "Conjoined Twin Pearl." Twin pearls form when an oyster produces two pearls simultaneously, making them exceptionally uncommon and a highly distinctive type of pearl. These naturally formed gems are notable because they begin as two separate pearls that then fuse together, a process that only increases their visual appeal. Their charming, curious shape can even evoke the image of a tiny snowman, with a whimsical, organic symmetry that ensures each specimen is truly one-of-a-kind. Twin pearls are typically rarer than single Akoya pearls because they are more finicky and difficult to nurture during farming, adding to their desirability.

THE DESIGN:

Designed as a 24-panel necklace, the conjoined pearls and oval-cut amethysts are set on the same sheet of sterling, creating a unified, elegant face. The amethysts form an outline along the outer perimeters of each panel, and the panels are linked to one another with jump rings for fluid movement. This connecting method is especially handy for travel, since the necklace can be gently folded and slipped into a pouch without losing its shape.

Suspended from the neckline is a substantial 4" cross featuring a striking 'cross within a cross' design. Irregular- free form shaped baroque pearls were chosen for this piece, as well as rectangular pearls, which work particularly well for the cross, since their broad, elongated shapes gives the motif a sturdy, sculptural presence. Round and oval amethyst cuts frame the cross’s perimeter, and the entire piece is completed with a contemporary mirror-polished finish that enhances the gems’ color and the pearls’ luster.

THE CLOSURE:

Laid in a floral cluster of natural free form shape pearls & a huge high domed cut of amethyst, this type of closure is unique to Federico, who makes the closure apart of the design. If you look at photos 20,21,22, you will see how the pearl is apart of the closure. What you do is push down on it (Not pull) to open & when closed, it's apart of the design, so it's hidden.

If you're looking for one of the best by Federico then this would be a piece I would highly recommend! Made with a high end-Southwestern vibe that has a contemporary, top notch, elegant edge!
