THE NECKLACE:
This necklace says all it needs to say with the simple beauty of these two materials. With a pairing like this — elegant, natural, and perfectly balanced, it’s hard to surpass the striking harmony that lapis & baroque pearls create together.
Federico is known for ‘the size’ of the materials he uses, something you don’t always find with other artists & these size cuts of lapis are the perfect example! They are there to put the necklace in the spotlight, where all eyes will be on YOU!
Made with only 'premium' cuts of Lapis that have the same depth of color as the next. I would call this color of Lapis a "Cobalt" blue that is seriously rich in color.. The lapis graduate in size and range from 2-1/8” long, to as large as a whopping 2-7/8” long, so they lay in the décolletage area of the body, which is right in the area where all statement necklaces look best.
Designed with a modern-day, sophisticated elegance, this necklace features 17 smaller, irregularly shaped baroque pearls that rest along the interior strand. Beneath seven of those pearls are striking, statement-sized linear cuts of lapis, which add a powerful visual presence to the overall design.
Both the lapis & pearls sit low in high bezels of 0.999% fine/pure silver (the equivalent to what 24K is to gold) The backsides, the chain/hook & eye closure is then finished in a contemporary finished sterling.. Each panel is connected by heavy gauge "O" rings, which allows this to fold up nicely for storage or travel.
You can wear this at it’s entire 18.75” length or you can use the extender chain & bring it up higher by putting the hook any where within the chain links.
PLEASE NOTE WHAT PRICING IS BASED ON :
Unfortunately Federico has had to raise his prices since the price of sterling (& gold) has gone up and fluctuates on a daily basis. Many pieces have more than doubled in price because of this. (Some have tripled!) Between the price that metal is costing artists, plus the rising cost for materials, there was no other choice but to increase everything.
The pricing is dictated also by Federico’s name and his decades old reputation in the industry. Also included is the need to compensate the artisan (And or staff) for the time and expertise required to make this necklace for Federico. These are just some of the elements that together explain and contribute to the higher final price of this necklace.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try my hardest to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color. Please realize that all monitors are different, so the materials can look more vivid (or duller) from one computer to the next.
To give you close up photos, pictures tend to make the item look GIGANTIC & everything is more magnified than in actuality. To get an accurate idea of how big this is, please view the mannequin photos or you can pull out a tape measure/ruler & compare to my given measurements above.
