Designed with Federico’s popular and highly sought-after ‘Heart’ design, this piece was thoughtfully chosen for this fabulous statement necklace. The workmanship highlights the intricate details that make Federico’s work so unique and cherished. This necklace is incredibly versatile, offering several styling options, allowing you to wear it in different ways depending on your mood or outfit. (See photos for inspiration and ideas.)

Used for the necklace are these super chunky and very generously sized Kingman turquoise disks that elegantly graduate in size from the area near the pendant all the way to the closure. At the center front of the necklace, there are 2 small sterling beads (see photos 14 & 15) over which the pendant hooks securely. Alternatively, the beads can be spread and separated slightly, allowing the shepherd's hook to go between the beads for easy removal or putting the necklace on. Designed with versatility and style in mind, this pendant can be worn together with the beautiful disk necklace or taken off completely to be paired with another necklace for a fresh and completely different look! (For example, photo 11 shows the pendant paired with a sterling beaded necklace.)

Stealing the show is the large, vibrant-colored Spiny Oyster Heart pendant, which is beautifully framed by a stunning halo cluster of Sleeping Beauty oval cuts that perfectly complement the rich orange hue. Measuring approximately 2-3/4” x 2-3/4”, this pendant has a surprisingly substantial amount of weight, adding to its bold presence. Because of its heft, it’s important to keep in mind that if you decide to switch out the necklace for another, you’ll want to choose one that is sturdy and durable enough to securely support the pendant’s weight, avoiding any flimsy or fragile chains that might not hold up well.

PLEASE NOTE: If you closely examine the backside of the pendant, you will see that it was designed to function both as a pendant and as a pin. However, because the shepherd's hook covers the pin mechanism, it actually renders it impractical to wear as a pin.

In case you need to open the shepherd's hook to accommodate, for example, a larger beaded necklace, all you’ll require is a pair of needle nose pliers. Pay close attention to the exact position of the pliers on the hook in the accompanying photo, so you know precisely where to apply pressure. When opening the hook, it’s best to work slowly and make small, gradual adjustments—just a little at a time. If the hook doesn’t open enough on the first try, simply repeat the process carefully. Keep in mind that sterling silver is a softer metal, so it’s important not to apply too much force all at once to avoid bending or damaging the piece.
