Chosen for the necklace are these super chunky and very generously sized Kingman turquoise disks that elegantly graduate in size from the area near the pendant to the closure. At the center front of the necklace, there are 2 small sterling beads (see photos 13 & 16) which the pendant hooks over.(Or the beads can be spread & separated so the shepherds hook can go between the beads when being put on or removed).. Designed with versatility in mind, this pendant can be worn together with the disk necklace or taken off to be paired with another necklace for a completely different look!(See photos 13 through 16)
Sharing the spotlight is the impressive 5-3/8” tall pendant, featuring a stunning and HUGE 3” tall cut of natural Pilot Mountain turquoise, renowned for its unique and fabulous character that collectors and enthusiasts highly value. (This extraordinary turquoise cut alone significantly contributes to the overall price of the necklace, reflecting its size and quality) Surrounding the center cut, is a halo cluster of 7 mm round Abalone cuts that create a beautiful, iridescent frame that enhances the pendant’s visual appeal. Additionally, large cuts of vibrant orange spiny oyster are carefully incorporated, adding depth and contributing to the necklace’s unmistakable signature Santa Fe vibe, blending tradition with bold Southwestern elegance! The pendant has a good amount of weight, so I do want to mention that if you were to change the necklace out for another one, you want to make sure it’s not flimsy & fragile & that it can hold the pendants weight.
PLEASE NOTE: In the last 3 photos is another necklace like this, but is made with a “Heart” pendant. Even though that is entirely a different necklace, what does stay the same with this necklace & that one, is the method of opening the shepherds hook up to accommodate say, a larger beaded necklace if you choose to go that route.. All you need is a pair of needle nose pliers. You want to pay attention to where the pliers are on the hook in the photo, so you know where you’re going to place them. If you need to open the hook, you want to do a little at a time. If it’s not enough do it again. Remember sterling is softer, so you don’t want to do too much at one time!
