THE EARRINGS

These are designed with an undeniable & very traditional look of Oaxaca.. Brought into Mexico by way of the Spaniards, these are a design that is one of Oaxaca’s top 5 earring designs. Originating from Federico’s birthplace of Oaxaca, one thing he is closely tied to, are only the finest Oaxaca filigree artisans the country offers..

One thing about these particular earrings is for the fact that these aren’t, are your average, standard, everyday filigree earrings.. They probably have some of the better filigree workmanship you’ll find. They feature perfectly formed circular motifs nested within intricate, precisely curved filigree wiring, the kind of meticulous work only someone highly skilled in this technique can achieve when you figure in order to have a “perfectly formed”. earring, every curve of the wire has to be impeccably even in size. And if the circular forms are perfect, then an artist can have a mess on their hands with possibly having 1 earring larger(or smaller) than the other! There are many steps in the process , since it’s not just about simply thinning the wire from its original gauge, but what appears as 'twisted wire' is actually created with a serration technique that gives the earrings their distinctive ‘textured’ look.

They are designed with garlands of little irregular shaped white pearls that are hand sewn into the base (See last 3 backside photos)..The earrings are finalized with a 2 pearl dangle, which if you notice, the very bottom pearls are more round than the rest. They are made with a hook ear wire that has a safety latch for extra security.

I have to admit, if you love a great looking Mexican earring, you won’t get a more authentic Mexican earring than these! They will not only make THE most perfect wedding/bridal earring, but would be perfect with any & all embroidered Mexican clothing (Chiapas/Oaxaca) to a sleek black designer dress to an all white outfit!
