THE EARRINGS:

Dominating the overall appearance, these earrings are primarily designed with “Tile” (square) cuts of Sicilian red coral. Designed where the quality of the coral is prioritized over sheer quantity, they’re made in a very wearable size—neither overwhelmingly large, nor so small that their beauty is lost. The color here reads as a true, vibrant "red-red," distinct from orange/red or deep blue/red tones. The stones are well matched in color saturation, the cuts are clean, and they lack the typical natural markings often found in coral. Each stone was carefully hand-picked to ensure consistent matching throughout.

Their refined, non-traditional contemporary look, allows them to pair effortlessly with any southwestern coral collection, yet they can also be worn beyond the southwest without appearing overtly regional.

Anyone in this business knows how much the price of Coral has climbed to & has gotten so ridiculously expensive, which makes it unaffordable for many artists to even consider buying. In recent years, the price of Coral has skyrocketed & compared to a few years ago when it was at about $250 a gram, it is now over $1000 -$3000 a gram for the ‘premium grades.

Coral is now on the "RARE" list & no longer can it be fished, NOR brought in the USA. (These reasons are reflected in the price) Everyday the price goes up & up & will never be the price tomorrow, as it is today & keeps rising.. Coral has become a collectible material because of this.
