The "Yei Bi Chei" is a spiritual deity for the Navajo & is often depicted in many forms of Navajo art, from many different sculptures to jewelry, where the artist will give their own interpretation through their medium.. With the disruption of harmony causes a range of imbalanced dysfunctions, from the mental, to the physical & the spiritual to emotional well being & in order to 'normalize' & reverse the disruption, these ceremonies are closely supervised by trained Yei bi Chei medicine men. Being that the Zuni people live just south of the Navajo reservation, both tribes sometimes can be influenced by the other, as you can see with these earrings.

With these earrings, they will take you right to the "Yei Bi Chei" Navajo Ceremony when you look at them, by giving us this depiction of this night time 9 day ceremony, where the Yei'bi Chei's ask for healing. Artistically designed, they are made with tiny cuts of natural turquoise, where the tops have tiny tear drop shape cuts & then round cuts lay above what is depicted in cuts of sterling wire, the 'spruce' collar that's worn around the neck during the ceremony..(See photos) I was told that these were originally screw back earrings that the owner had made into a post earring, for better wear.Made with a wearable weight, while giving you a traditional Puebloan look!

**Because of close up photos, makes everything much more magnified & because of this, you can see where the sterling has a green-ish color in some spots.. (See photo 4) Please be aware that this is NOT noticeable to the naked eye!"

Please Note:
In order to give you close up photos so I can provide you with all the detail, can tend to make the item look much more larger & everything is more magnified than in actuality. Close up's make the item look so large & then you get it in hand & you are shocked since the item is much smaller than how they looked in the photos..So to get an accurate idea of how big these are, please either check them out being worn to get a rough idea (photo 2 ) or you can pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements
