Circa 1940's-50's-Old Pawn Vintage Zuni Puebloan -Classic Turquoise Cluster-Screw Back Sterling Earrings-3/4" Round

$325.00

THE EARRINGS:

These historically classic-turquoise cluster Zuni Puebloan earrings have almost a primitive feel to them, which personally is what gives them their charm & character.. One thing you can see with these, is that except for a few, the turquoise has maintained their blue color after all these decades, which tells you, the turquoise is natural & high grade & the higher the grade/hardness of turquoise, the less color change, since they are not as porous & soft & need no ‘stabilization’ in order to cut.

CONVERTING FROM SCREW BACK TO POST

They are made in a screw back earring & if you don’t wear screw backs, and want to convert these to posts, you will need a “Laser” welder”. They are not the easiest to find, but the advantage is, they are who you want in order to not have to remove each & every stone in order to put a post on there, since no heat is used, nor will you lose the valuable patina!

In regards to a Laser welder vs a regular jeweler, a regular jeweler would have to remove the stones from their bezels in order to use heat & when you get out of the Southwest, most jeweler’s don’t know how to work with these “Serrated Bezels”! I can have my repair guy do this service for an extra $75 ( I can add this amount to the earring sale) & the turn around time may take up to 2 weeks, depending on how busy he is. If you would rather me do this service for you, then you do not want to purchase these until I add the $75 price.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try to give you photos that are 'realistic in color.. Please understand that all screen monitors are different, so the materials can look brighter (or duller) ,more intense or less intense from one computer/phone to the next.

In order to give you close up photos so I can provide you with all the detail, the photos can tend to make the item look much more larger & everything is more magnified & exaggerated than in actuality. When you get them in hand, you do not notice as much, as what looks more extreme in the photos. So to get an accurate idea of how big these are, please either check them out being worn to get a rough idea (photos) or you can pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements.
