These fabulous looking earrings were designed to tip the scales, where Federico took southwestern jewelry to unimaginable heights! They ooze the wondrous look of Santa Fe & have a very upscale-cosmopolitan presence to them! These are fit for any red carpet-runway & all eyes will be on you when you wear an earring as powerful as these!! And honestly, if the color doesn't grab some serious attention, their size will!
Made in a 4-1/2" long clip on earring, these were made with some of the biggest cuts from the most in demand color of the Spiny Oyster shell. Both the top & bottom cuts are very even in size from one earring to the other & it's those HUGE 2" long bottom oyster cuts that really contribute to a good portion of the earrings size!
Also contributing to their southwestern couture appeal, the shell is framed by a halo cluster of all natural-gem quality Sleeping Beauty turquoise that are precisely even in size & color, which gives the earring it's uniform feel.
They are finished in a contemporary mirror polished sterling & are made with a GENEROUS balance of both stone & metal & have some serious weight to them, so you definitely want these in clip earring!
PLEASE READ: I do want to mention though, that because of the generous portions of both materials & sterling, Federico’s clips on’s can sometimes want to slip, because of the weight. My personal remedy for fixing this, is to take “Flexible clear surgical tape (I prefer Nexcare 3M ) & rip a somewhat small piece & then roll it so it becomes ‘double sided’.. This will then stick on the back of the earring & against your ear. (You don’t want to cut any bigger than the back of the earrings top) Stick that on the backside of the top & the earrings now are secure & won’t want to fall off the ear! I do this with earrings that are weighty or if the clip has loosened.
A NOTE:
Even though these are made with materials known to the southwest, they would look great no matter where you live because of their contemporary aesthetic! You can pair these with a traditional or a non-traditional jewelry collection!
