THE EARRINGS:
From Federico’s new Abalone & Pearl line, these earrings are precisely made with a very visually balanced look. Contributing to their symmetrical appearance are the evenly sized rectangular cuts of abalone set throughout the design, which together create a precise 2" round “Starburst” presence.
The 2" abalone drop is anchored by an 11.5 mm coin pearl at the top, while another coin pearl is set in the center and tiny pearls alternate delicately between each abalone cut. All of the materials rest on a substantial amount of oxidized sterling silver, and the backs of the earrings feature a contemporary mirror-polished finish for a refined, modern touch.
To help protect the abalone from the elements and to enhance their appearance, each abalone cut appears to have a thin resin-like coating that also adds a subtle extra shine.
In the photos, I did not use any features when I edited the pictures that would give you a false color, but rather, what I did do, was turned the abalone toward the light so you can witness all the color that is naturally there. Please go through each photo to see any variation.
Because of the generous amount of materials, I do want to mention that these earrings have some weight to them. I personally feel they’re fine, but for some, they may be a bit heavy. We do carry a product (link below) that is made to take the weight of the earring off the ear & places the weight on the tab they are made with. It always helps when shopping online to know what weight earrings work best for your ears, what the best size is for a cuff, etc. I would take one of your heaviest earrings that you can tolerate wearing & see how much they weigh, then compare that weight to mine. So please read weights below before purchasing
