Jewelers that started back in the era he had,it was important to use only natural-premium stones for their jewelry & with so many mines now closed down & depleted,it's hard for someone who came out of that era to settle for anything less,especially when your reputation & name are on the line.

Delbert 1st hand picks his stones & then lets the stone(s) dictate the design..He never knows what he is going to make until the stone starts to 'speak' to him & then builds around it with the heavy gauge sterling & incorporating the most incredible ornate,embellished work..

ABOUT THE TURQUOISE:

In the hills of Kazakhstan sits the Golden Hills mine,where this turquoise is only mined in the winter month's during the freezing cold & snow.They cannot mine it it the summer due to the area flooding due to the conditions there.It is difficult to get because of the environment & the location.

Kazakhstan turquoise is one of the prettiest turquoise being mined & due to it's popularity, it is one of the most in demand turquoise on today's market..It took to the US by storm not too long ago & is one of 2 separate mines that have both made their mark on US soil that are ranking as high as many of our USA mined turquoise that buyers can't get enough of! (The other is Mexico's "Sonoran Gold")

DESCRIPTION:

I have to admit,this isn't just a 'ring' but rather a piece of art & Delbert's signature style comes through loud & clear in this ring!

The metal work is incredible,which contributes the ornate feel in the ring's metal design..The underlying sterling sheet on the shank is no where to be seen,since it's literally covered with all kinds of embellishing known to Delbert's style ! Each & everything on the shank is totally done by hand,from twisting the sterling wire that creates their swirl effect,to the quarter moon shaped appliques,to melting the sterling to create different size beads & finally,to the little conchos on the thinner portion on the underside of the shank.(See photos 13 through 16)

The overall stone color has more of a pastel/baby blue color & sit's secured in Delbert's serrated bezel..Using his 'sense of design',the embellishing seems to bring more focus to the stone.

It's traditionally made & and is a very 'manly-man' masculine ring & you will get no less than 'masculine' when you have a ring made by Delbert..Being a man himself,he instinctively knows what men love & how a 'real' masculine ring should look!
