ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Navajo metalsmith Calvin Belin is a 52-year-old man who has been making jewelry since he was 12, and like many Navajo children, he was raised in a household surrounded by other jewelers, primarily his parents. He apprenticed under his father, who taught the young Calvin to make precise bezels and other essential components for his work. He lives in the heart of the Navajo Reservation in the town of Crownpoint, NM. With this artist, you can expect nothing less than beautifully made purely traditional Navajo jewelry made with care and deep respect for the art.
