ABOUT THE ARTIST:

In comparison to some 'veteran' Navajo metalsmith's, Geneva is a relatively young silversmith who learned the art of metalsmithing from her mother "Genevieve Apachito'..Geneva is known for her sterling beaded jewelry,where she hand melts the sterling into beads & then places them on sheet sterling to where the sheet is fully covered in beads!! She is a New Mexico native who comes from Socorro, NM & calls the town of Alamo, NM her home.

THE RING:

This fabulously designed statement-size ring truly makes a bold impression and is a real eye-opener!

Geneva selected a striking, oversized 1.50” tall oval cut of black onyx for the ring, she then carefully hand made all the surrounding embellishments so the stone appears as if it’s perfectly perched on a miniature pedestal! These detailed embellishments build up a wider, taller profile that amplifies the rings presence and you no doubt, will hear some “WOW’S” when you wear a ring like this!

Personally, there’s nothing more sophisticated and classy than wearing onyx with sterling—especially when the silver has been lightly oxidized so you see all that mesmerizing contrast! This ring would flatter almost any finger you choose, but it’s particularly striking on the middle finger.

This is not adjustable, but if you need to go down in size, you can use either the “Moleskin” method (See last 3 photos) or take it to a reputable jeweler
