THE RING:

This AMAZING looking ring has two dominant features working in its favor that you can’t help but fall in love with! First, it’s all about the gem quality—top‑notch turquoise with some of the most striking ‘one of a kind- fingerprint’ character and incredible blue color. Second, how the figural design was achieved by carefully selecting specific shape cuts that come together to create the distinctive figure.

This ring isn’t overly large, but yet the exceptional quality of the turquoise outshines and dominates its 2-1/2” tall setting. This ring is the perfect example where ‘quality’ exceeds ‘quantity’. If you’re like me, then you believe the quality of fine, high quality stones should speak for themselves & should be the total focus!

The ring was assembled using turquoise from two separate mines. The face and the shoulders feature natural, high-grade gem-quality blue Royston, while the arms, body, and legs display high grade top notch Kingman turquoise with some incredible character! Each of these natural stones has that “spit shine” high-gloss luster that only harder, higher-grade cuts of turquoise produce. Because these stones are harder and of superior grade, they do not require stabilization for the lapidary to shape and polish them.

THE ADJUSTABLE BYPASS SHANK:
This is presently set at a size 8.5. If you look at the last photo, you will see that the bypass shank is made of a tapered strip of sheet sterling that curls around & is made of heavy gauge sterling. If you need to go down in size, you can only go down say 1/2 size to possibly a full size.(Or you can use the ‘Moleskin” method to bring it down-Email me to learn more.) If you need to go down, this is something you will have to ask your jeweler to do, since I don’t have the tools to bring it down in size. But, if you need it bigger, I can do this for you..(No more than say a 1-1/2 sizes)

A WORD:

This was made when the price of sterling had jumped to an all time high.. The rising cost is directly reflected in what artists paid per gram or ounce for the metal.(Not to exclude the higher cost of materials!) So if you’re wondering about the higher prices across the internet & in every gallery, this is the reason!

Factored also into the price for this, is the artist’s name and his decades old reputation, the quality of the turquoise, the number of carats and the cost per carat for this higher quality. Also included is the need to compensate the artisan (And staff) for the time and expertise required to create the ring. These are just some of the elements that together explain and contribute to the higher final price of this ring.
