RING PROVENANCE:
This classic 70’s ring came from a lady who walked into my store carrying jewelry she had purchased in the early 1970s. Now, more than 50 + years later, her taste and styles had changed, and she no longer wore any of the pieces, so I purchased what she brought with her, including a couple rings, with this being one.
Knowing her heart was in a good place ,I should note however that I wished I would have caught her before she brought the pieces in, since she polished everything up so they’d look nice..And so even though some patina is still in tact in the crevices of the face, the shank has been wiped down & the outer wire work.
THE RING::
This is a classically designed Italian red Coral & Turquoise ring that was made popular in the 1970’s. The leaf work, along with this ultra favorite southwestern combo of materials, grew in popularity during this time period & is still holding strong in todays jewelry.
