THE RING:

There is something so unique about how this ring looks & if I was to put one thing at the top of the list, it would be the way the coral is cut that makes for a very different looking ring! All the way around,this speaks volume in quality..

Beautifully placed atop of a darkened sterling backdrop, are these branch cuts of Coral that are cut on a diagonal on each end & line the east/west side of the ring.And besides the overall look,it's these cuts that really make this ring pop! Wire wrapped in the center are 6 mm round cuts (1/4") that are separated by sterling beads, while at the top & bottom center are horizontally laid cuts.One of these lays flush while the other is a tubular branch cut.The color is not blood red,but rather a red with very slight orange undertones.

***I do want to mention that what looks like a crack in one of the corner round cuts,is actually inherit to coral where you'll see lines that look like cracks or holes known to coral.. It is NOT defective.(See photo 1-bottom left) ***

THE SHANK:

It has an adjustable bypass shank that has been tooled with 'crosses' (See last 4 photos) & is presently set at a size 9 and because of the bypass shank,makes it adjustable. By putting it on the ring mandrel, I can go up in size for you if you need it a size or 2 larger, (No more than) please let me know at the time of purchasing!! To go down a size or 2,I personally find it harder,so I suggest taking it to a reputable jeweler.. Makes a great middle finger ring!

***FYI***:

It's getting harder & harder getting any coral at any reasonable price & for anyone in this business knows then how much the price of Coral has climbed to & has gotten so ridiculously expensive, which makes it unaffordable for many artists to even consider buying. Coral's cost has skyrocketed up to 500% in the last three years & compared to 3 years ago when it was at about $250 a gram, it is now at $1000 a gram!!. But to make matters worse, it's all because of human disturbance, based on overfishing and indirect by climate change — This has left the sea’s slow-growing red coral population in a state of decimation. Coral is now on the "Rare" list & no longer can it be fished, NOR brought in the USA. (These reasons are reflected in the price) So now what we're seeing is coming from older stock & everyday the price goes up & just like real estate or oil, it will never be the price tomorrow, as it is today. Any more,it has become an 'investment' gem.
