RING PROVENANCE:

This classic 70’s ring came from a lady who walked into my store carrying jewelry she had purchased in the early 1970s. Now, more than 50 + years later, her taste and styles had changed, and she no longer wore any of the pieces, so I purchased what she brought with her, including a couple rings, with this being one.

Knowing her heart was in a good place ,I should note however that I wished I would have caught her before she brought the pieces in, since she polished everything up so they’d look “nice”. And so even though some patina is still in tact in the crevices of the face, the shank has been wiped down, as well as the leaf & outer wire work.

THE RING::
This is a classically designed Italian red Coral was made popular and is signature to the 1970’s. The coral looks to be branch coral that was cut down. The leaf work grew in popularity during this time period & is still holding strong in todays jewelry.

I do want to mention that the size of this piece of coral would cost you in today’s market just below as much as my asking price, since the price of coral has literally skyrocketed & can no longer be fished, nor brought into America.
