You haven't witness "Big" till you've become familiar with his work! He gives the word "HUGE" new meaning!!! I carry some of his largest pieces & this is THE largest pendant I've ever had in stock! This is bigger than my hand (See photo 11 & 24) & weighs just shy of a 1/2 POUND! Pictures can be hard sometimes to get an accurate idea of just how big a piece is or how much it weighs,till you get it in hand..But trust me on this one! When we refer jewelry to be "Santa Fe huge”, this is exactly what they're referring to!!! And if you've been to Santa Fe's Indian Market,where people showcase the biggest & the baddest there is,this is exactly the style & size that's worn!

The statuesque Kachina is designed with a whimsical,almost abstract look & made with premium-top shelf vibrant Spiny Oyster,which is the color that is most sought out by buyers. Made with a variety of cuts that are huge,so ,there is a lot of carat weight in each! Being that they are uniform in color & you can't get this much to match from just one shell,I would say quite a few oyster shells were used to get the sizes used in this.

The large size Kachina's face is designed with uniform oyster cuts & has little turquoise beads & a small square cut of turquoise that act as the eyes & the mouth & are drilled into the shell..I love the turquoise beaded garland that outlines the chin!!

This is actually a "Pendant/Pin" & there is no way I would use it as a pin,based on it's hefty weight! I am showing this with a 9 mm-26" Navajo pearl necklace by Navajo Sandra Zambrano..It has a shepherds hook to hang beads on & is only opened so much.The hook can be opened more,if you have a bigger bead size you want to wear this with..(You can do this with needle nose pliers if you have skill & with respect to the metal or by any reputable jeweler)

This is the best of Federico & if you love his outstandingly huge statement size pieces,this is not a piece to be passed up!
