A PERSONAL WORD:

There’s not too many materials that aren’t taken over the edge, than when the design is made and are placed along side, the beauty and elegance of pearls.. This is something Federico instinctively knows, since pearls play a dominating role to many of his designs. Known for creating some of the most fabulous pearl and turquoise jewelry you’ll ever see, or amethyst and pearls, garnets and pearls, spiny oyster & pearl jewelry or maybe just all pearl pieces, his designs will leave you speechless, while you’re quickly looking for that cold rag! They are that stunning! This necklace is just 1 perfect example, where Federico took this signature southwestern vibrant colored shell up a notch and paired it with the timeless & elegant beauty of pearls.

TWIN PEARLS:

Twin pearls form when an oyster produces two pearls at the same time, which are relatively rare. These naturally formed-conjoined twin pearls are unique for the fact that they start forming as two separate pearls and then they fuse together to form a double pearl, which can actually remind you of a little snowman! Twin pearls are generally more rare than single Akoya pearls because they are more finicky and fragile during farming.

THE NECKLACE:

Impressively designed, this necklace is not just functional, but aesthetically pleasing at the same time! Each material that was chose for this necklace, plays a role to the design & each were carefully hand picked for their own contribution.

In the neckline, there are 15 small size panels (per side) that are made with the twin pearls that sit in a high bezel. The neckline was deliberately made where the panel of pearls lay more ‘outward’, rather than facing forward. Each panel is then connected by heavy gauge sterling jump rings. (See photos)

The center pendant drop is well designed and what I personally love about this part, is how they used the “Raw-Unfinished” Spiny Oyster shell for the pendant.. So if you’ve never seen this shell in it’s raw form, this is it!! This textured shell does have spines (classic to it’s name) that protrude off the top of the shell, but whether they were cut off by the lapidarian or if it was purchased without the spines, I’m not sure. This vibrant orange shell is beautifully framed with the twin pearls being laid out in about 2/3rds of the total piece and then the top is designed with Japanese Biwa Pearls that act as a crown! Two little turquoise cabs act as an accent that separates the twin pearl layout & the Biwa pearls.

This orange & white theme is perfect for just about any season, but especially more so in the spring / summer, when most wear more color!! You can wear this against just about any color clothing & the more vibrant the clothing, the more this will come to life!! But will look equally as gorgeous when you wear it with all white & wear it with lots of other pearl pieces!!

*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try my best to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, so you're not shocked, nor disappointed when you get the piece. I do however find that photographing anything with 'yellow' in it, (green & orange) a little harder to photograph, since this color can come up much more vivid than other colors, so please take this into consideration & go through all photos to see any variation. Remember, every monitor is different since some can show something to be more vivid and other monitors can make it look duller.

To give you close up photos,pictures tend to make the item look much more larger & everything is more magnified than in actuality. Close up's make the item look so large & then you get it in hand & you are let down since the item is much smaller than how they looked in the photos..So to get an accurate idea of how big this is,please either check it out on the mannequin to get a rough idea (see photos) or you can pull out a tape measure & or ruler and then compare them to my given measurements
