I have been working with Federico for years now & I have to admit that this is THE best,THE most showy Oaxaca necklace that he's has ever made & it's no wonder that this necklace was actually going to used for our yearly Santa Fe Indian Market (That is,until I got my hands on it!! ) where this was also to be shown.. Made with all that Oaxaca charm,this is made in a lusciously long 43" length, with 11 Flaming Sacred Hearts,where each are beautifully hand made & "Love" is written all over them..The Sacred Hearts are HUGE & are made with the most precise filigree work that frames the heart. Love Birds lay atop of each heart with a flower in between.Garlands of turquoise beads are hand sewn into the base of the heart & sit perfectly under the filigree design. On the flame of each, are cuts of high grade-tear drop cuts of USA turquoise,with cuts of Carico Lake,Pilot Mountain,Blue Gem,Royston in there. Dremel etching & tooling spice the sterling portion of both the flame & the outline of the hearts.

THE CHAIN:

This has to be one of the prettiest chains I think I've ever seen! It's has a sweet,feminine feel to it & is about 1/2 wide & is made of oxidized twisted wire that's designed in a floral pattern & has a little floral center. There's roughly 4-3/4" or so per side of chain.It comes with a super pretty floral box clasp & has a safety clasp(See photo11),but this is so long it will fit over anyone's head,so you really don't have to open & close it each time to wear it!

This is collector's piece & truly a piece of art that can be hung on a wall like any piece of art when you're not wearing it!! :-) If you want Federico's most FINEST,MOST FABULOUS,MOST ELABORATE STATEMENT pieces when it comes to Oaxaca jewelry,then this is a no brainer!!
