THE NECKLACE:

Designed with the woman in mind who truly loves an elegant and refined vibe to her southwestern jewelry. I have to admit, Federico and I think alike when it comes to this fabulous duo of materials—knowing that there is absolutely nothing more drop-dead gorgeous than when you pair some nice looking turquoise with the elegant beauty of lustrous natural pearls. By adding these very feminine, naturally formed small aquatic gems, it takes southwestern jewelry up and over the edge, elevating it to a whole new level, while giving it a genuine and sophisticated 'southwestern couture' feel!

This precious piece consists of 15 meticulously designed panels, each miraculously the same size. This is especially impressive considering that all the small pearls are in their natural baroque form, which typically varies greatly in shape and size. Achieving this uniformity means it took a seasoned & highly skilled eye to handpick each pearl with exceptional care, ensuring that no panel is noticeably smaller or larger than the next. The pearls themselves are roughly in the 5 mm size range, adding to the delicate and refined appearance of the piece.

The baroque pearls act as a clustered halo, while they delicately surround the evenly sized Sleeping Beauty turquoise, which are oval in shape and feature a high dome cut. The tones of the turquoise vary subtly from one stone to another—some display a vibrant blue, while others offer a softer ‘pastel’ blue and even a light teal blue hue. This variety of tones offers a dynamic contrast within the necklace, preventing it from having a monotonous or overly uniform look, but instead giving it a unique and captivating character. The materials are soldered atop of a very contemporary high polished sterling.

Finally, this is not an ‘over the top’ size we generally think of, or associate with Federico, but rather, it’s made with a very delicate type feel that offers some versatility that can take you from the office, to a evening out! It’s also the perfect size for those who love their turquoise & or pearl jewelry on the minimal, more dainty side while adding a touch of Santa Fe to your look!
