One thing I truly appreciate about Federico is that he isn’t confined to the usual materials like turquoise, coral, or spiny oyster shell that are so closely associated with the Southwest. It’s refreshing to watch an artist who recognizes the beauty in nearly every stone and thoughtfully incorporates a wide variety of gems into the work they do.
So with that said, these are thoughtfully made with three different materials in a graceful triple-tier design. The tops are made from small, silvery grey‑white rice pearls with an almost translucent high-domed jade cabochon in the center. The rectangular center drop is an uncommon and striking material rarely seen in jewelry—especially Southwestern pieces—known as Prehnite. Prehnite is a translucent mineral primarily sourced from Australia and South Africa, valued for its soft, ethereal green tones. The design is completed with a darker, tapered-cut jade accent, elegantly capped with a sterling silver cone.
These will compliment any pearl jewelry collection (and or Prehnite if you own any) & will look fabulous with any minty green to white wardrobe!
