Zuni Puebloan Artisan “Carmelita Simplicio”-Impeccably Made-Premium Mediterranean Red Coral-1970's Leaf Design Sterling Stud Earrings
Zuni Puebloan artisan “Carmelita Simplicio” is highly known in the industry, but is not necessarily known for traditional Zuni inlay, nor cluster work that is known to the Zuni people, but rather being known for her watch tips, nugget work, cast work & leaf applique work.
These are the perfect example of the latter, and in fact they actually look more Navajo made than Zuni. This type of leaf work was a signature look of the 1970s, created by Navajo artisans and prized for their hand wrought feel. If you own or collect 1970s leaf work jewelry, these earrings will pair with them perfectly, but would also complement any coral jewelry beautifully.
These earrings may be small studs, but between the over-the-top quality of the coral and the impeccable, clean workmanship, those attributes more than compensate for their modest 5/8” tall size. They feature a mirror-facing design with distinct left and right earrings, intended to be worn with the leaf pointing away from the face. Exceptionally wearable in both weight and scale, they’re the perfect solution when you want a dynamite-looking, perfectly made earring without the heft and bulk that many others have.

*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try my hardest to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color as much as I can. Each monitor varies and also plays a role in how vibrant or less vibrant as something appears.
To give you close up photos, so I can provide you with all the fine detail, pictures can tend to make the item look GIGANTIC & everything is more magnified than in actuality. So to get an accurate idea of how big these are, what you can do is pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements listed above. If you need a photo on the ear, please let me know.
