Puebla Mexican Artisan-'ADOLFO PEREZ"- Traditional "Descending Dove-Rooster"-Sterling Coral Dangle "Symbolic" Earrings-2"-Light & Wearable!
THE ARTISAN:
I am thrilled to bring my last pair of Adolfo Perez's earrings to you! Adolfo makes it a point to come by my Santa Fe store, while visiting his son (whose also a jeweler) who resides here.
Adolfo has been a long time jeweler & is no beginner at the art of authentic Mexican jewelry..He is a older gentleman & is a 3rd generation jeweler who learned the art of jewelry from his father & grandfather..
I was told during one visit, that Adolfo had been commissioned years ago by world renown designer, "Federico" to help create some jewelry for his line. Adolfo is the 'real deal' when it comes to the Mexican jewelry!
THE DESIGN:
These not only have a heavy traditional Mexican vibe, but if you zoom in on the photos, you’ll see these aren’t just another pair of Mexican earrings — they are meticulously designed earrings with symbolic meaning and rich history, like small wearable artworks that tell a story. Their symbolic meanings were thoughtfully captured, all within this 2” long earring!
The “Descending Dove” at the very top carries not only significant spiritual meanings, but important cultural ones as well. Most commonly, the dove descending downwards is actually a Christian symbol representing the Holy Spirit descending down from Heaven. This powerful image conveys notions of “peace, spiritual guidance, and divine grace”.
Anchored to the descending dove are Roosters, celebrated for their fierce “Warrior” spirit that signifies “readiness to face challenges and an unyielding refusal to kneel”. They are also regarded as ‘spiritual protectors’ since they are watchful guardians believed to ward off negative spirits and offer steadfast vigilance.
Inside the circular drop (Which looks like it could represent the “Sun”) is a bead of Italian coral & are finalized with 5 dangles that Adolfo seems to use quite often in his earrings.
They are very wearable & light, in fact, you may not even know you have these on! They would be the perfect earring to compliment any Mexican wardrobe & are perfect for everyday wear!

*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try my hardest to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color as much as I can. Each monitor varies and also plays a role in how vibrant or less vibrant as something appears.
To give you close up photos, so I can provide you with all the fine detail, pictures can tend to make the item look gigantic & everything is more magnified than in actuality. So to get an accurate idea of how big these are, you can either pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements listed above or I can email you a photo of them on the ear.
