THE CRESCENT MOON:
The Crescent moon has so many symbolic meanings, depending on the country in which they're worn.. They can represent being worn to bring luck and wealth, to woman empowerment to representing transitions such as someone leaving one life stage for another--such as childhood-to-adulthood ..They have also been worn by lovers for centuries & especially in Mexico, because they're believed to signify love and fertility. Unmarried women wear them believing that they'll find their soul mate soon after wearing them and married couples use them to represent how lasting their relationship will be with one another.

THE EARRINGS:
Oozing all the rich symbolic beauty of Oaxaca, these are made with a 'flower within a flower' top with a hand sewn bead of turquoise in the middle & then which is used to connect to the tripling in size, 3 tiered crescent shape arracadas, where the crescent moon is apart of the arracada design. (See all photos) Precisely wrapped filigree wire acts as the anchor for all the tiny little beads of turquoise,while giving them something to be secured to.
They are a lengthy earring that will be quite noticeable on the ear, due to their 4-1/2" long length. But regardless of their length, they aren't bad on the ears because of the lighter gauge sterling that was used(Read 'combined weight" below for you to decide)
They would compliment not only a Mexican wardrobe, but will look as great with denim to your favorite dress.. These are also considered a wedding earring,but are not limited to..
