YES,THAT’S RONNIE IN PHOTO 3!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Although New Mexico based Navajo Ronnie Willie calls To’hajiilee,NM his home,he presently resides in ABQ.NM..Ronnie was the 1st artist who started making those heavy gauge cuffs that are fully beaded & that have crosses that lay atop & generally come with various colored stones..A highly creative person,Ronnie loves creating by being a sand painter, sand caster,Kachina carver, rock sculptor, wood carver, which most of these things he does more on the side, since he mainly focuses on silversmithing 5 out of 7 days a week.Ronnies immediate family are also well known Lonnie,Juan Willie,Tawny Cruz(Formally Tawny Willie- to name a few) He is considered one of the best in present day jewelry, with his work being in demand & its a guarantee you will be getting a piece of jewelry with only the finest, quality workmanship! I am honored to call him a personal friend!

ABOUT BROKEN ARROW:

Broken Arrow Varisite is acually found in the Candelaria turquoise mine in Nevada & you won't find the green color it has from any other mine..It can range from lighter greens that are signature to Varisite, but when we think of "Broken Arrow" we think of those heavily saturated emerald greens that are more intense in color! There was only so much of it mined & that's why it's hard to get your hands on any.It is more valuable than what some turquoise is going for per carat & now is considered "Rare".

THE CUFF:

Ronnie has hung onto this stone for sometime now, until it was made exclusivly for my store. It is very signature Navajo in appearance, based on it's chunky style.

One of the 1st things you'll notice when you get this in hand,is the heavy weight it has!!! Weighing OVER 6 ounces, with some of that weight coming from the 2-1 Troy Ounce-old Indian Head .999 Fine/Pure silver coins used for the shanks sides! The coins are reversed on each side of the shank, with one side showing the backside of the coin that shows the Buffalo & reads "One Troy Ounce-.999 Silver",while the other shows the Indian Head.On the backside that reads 1 troy ounce-.999 silver actually has the Indian Head on the opposite side, while the Indian Head side has the Buffalo on it's backside.I am not sure how old these are,all I know is that they're old!

The HUGE Broken Arrow stone is bezel set & has a scalloped frame of sterling that is traditionally designed & that Ronnie hand sawed out himself..The coins & the stone are then soldered atop of a quad split shank to accomodate both the coins size,as well as the 2" x 2" Varisite 's size. Each wire that makes up the shank, is made of super heavy gauge sterling & is literally non-destructible,which will not allow this to be adjusted,so it has to fit who ever buys it! Each wire is soldered at the terminals & gives it more strength. If you zoom in on photos, you will see the large beads that sit between the stone & the coins..These were melted down into balls of sterling & then were stamped with a "Bear Foot Print" in each bead!

This is a UNISEX cuff that both man or woman can wear & because of it's large gap opening, helps with 'fleshy' wrists!(See gap opening below)

I personally think this is THE most interesting cuff based on it's unique design, that has the most gorgeous green stone, the coins,it's weight & finally the cuff's large edginess!!
