ABOUT RANDY:

Coming from the Navajo reservation just west of Albuquerque, in the town of "Cañoncito Band of Navajos" community of To'hajiilee, veteran artist Randy & his wife Sylvana have been making traditional Navajo jewelry for many a year now.. He specializes in working with heavy gauge sterling that is enhanced with deep stamping & or sawed cut out work..He's been at it so long,so he can make anything you put before him & can keep it as traditional as it gets just like his ancestors before him, to more contemporary, but yet traditional styles. DESCRIPTION:

A couple things this cuff has going for it, is first of all it's incredible beauty & the 2nd is the WEIGHT! This is made with between a 0 gauge heavy sterling & if gauge weight doesn't mean anything to you, the lower the #,the heavier & stronger the metal is. So this is low in gauge number as it goes!! And when you get it in hand, you'll be impressed with the strength it has!

Randy's a 1st class artist when it comes to the sawing out the most gorgeous designs on these hefty cuffs & It's like there's 'designs within designs'. Given a undeniable Navajo edginess, Randy "hand sawed" the design you see & working with as heavy of sterling like this, I can't imagine how many blades he went through by the time it was all said & done! It is impeccably made!

It has a beautiful "Chiaroscuro" contrast where the darkened beauty in the crevices are accentuated by a more mirror polished finishing. This look gives a contemporary look to a traditional Navajo style.

SIZING:

This piece is designed to fit a average 6-5/8” wrist size, and for a wrist that doesn’t need too wide of gap, since the gap has an opening of 1-1/8 inch opening. A wider gap is generally more comfortable for someone with a little meatier wrist, while a smaller gap tends to suit skinnier wrists better. To determine if this gap opening is right for you, you can measure the gap on a cuff that fits you well and compare it to this one. This HAS to fit properly, since it cannot be adjusted. The ‘east-west’ interior circumference is 2-1/2” across, so what you can do is lay a cuff that fits you perfectly & lay it atop of a paper measure & see where it goes from left to right (or vise versa)You do not want to measure the exterior, only the inside where your arm lays against.

So please know your wrist size before purchasing, since cuffs fit different than any other type bracelet & it is of extreme importance they fit right!
