ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Navajo & Gallup NM based,Andy Cadman was born in 1966 & is a part of 'modern-day',Navajo silversmith's that have all made their mark in the industry & come "Highly Rated & Collectible"..This group has one thing in common and that is the similarities in their work..They are known for their use of using the highest grade turquoise that's available to the market,as well as their use of heavy gauge sterling.. Their work is designed in a "Traditional Navajo-Vintage Revival" style & never do you see their work designed with a high polished-mirror finished, contemporary look.

THE CUFF:

There are a couple things that will draw your immediate focus to this..One is on the gorgeous (& HUGE!) cut of blue Royston turquoise & the other is the bold width this has!! This is a cuff that really has it going on,when it comes to being a great looking Navajo bracelet.

It's obvious that Andy chose the turquoise 1st & is what dictated the width of the cuff..The just over 2" cut of turquoise is so wide that it spans to just under the edges of the 2-1/4" cuff.The stone has a simple wire wrap & is set atop of a hand tooled "Vintage Revival" decorative finished shank.Like anything you get by Andy,he's all about using premium quality turquoise & this is one thing that adds to it's pristine value.You WANT untreated,natural turquoise if you love owning only 'quality' pieces!

Outside the stone,I can't help but view the appliques as looking like a "Whale's Tail" design,although I'm sure that's not the case,but it sure looks like it!!

This cuff has some incredible weight (Over 5 OUNCES!) & is nice & solid!! It's durable in strength & no way,feels inexpensive!! Native American jewelry has become so fashionable & even though this is a traditional SW cuff,it can be worn in the most urban areas to the country lands of Texas!
