ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Navajo & Gallup NM based,Andy Cadman was born in 1966 & is a part of a group of 'modern-day' Navajo silversmith's that all have made their mark in the industry & are some of the most sought after artisans that are all known for their similarities when it comes to the style jewelry they produce. Whether it's the Cadman's, the Reeves, Albert Jake, Guy Hoskie,Aaron Toadlena or even Tsosie White, these artists along with a host of other Navajo artisans, all have many things in common & that is their use of using heavy gauge sterling, their dedication in making sure to use only the highest grade stones on the market & lastly, the "vintage revival" finishing they give the sterling as if it stepped out of the 40's. Their work is very "Traditional" & never will you see anything with a contemporary mirror polished finishing. Andy's work is highly collectible.

THE CUFF:
Sharing the limelight with this traditional Navajo cuff, is the most fabulous-prominent cut of teal blue Pilot Mountain turquoise that sits center stage & is deserving of all the attention it's going to get! The quality, the color & size are what make this cuff stand apart from the rest. This is no skimpy cut,nor one that has been treated like you find all over the internet,(you pay for what you get in this business!) but rather being a premium cut of natural Pilot Mountain that has all it's signature characteristics that contribute to it being one of the more sought after, USA mines. Top notch quality Pilot, such as this is, makes our heart beat a little faster when we see it! It's truly a delicious cut!!

It's cut is perfectly square & has been cut "flat" on the top.. Looking like a arial view of the world, this is a very picturesque stone that has some gorgeous warm brown matrix..The quality is validated by it's 'spit shine-glossiness' that only 'harder' cuts of turquoise give us..(Hardness in turquoise equates to quality) It has a smooth professional finishing where it's obvious a skilled lapidarist cut this... Accented outside the stone are appliques that Andy makes himself.

This commanding stone sits atop of a heavy gauge sterling shank(My guess is either 10 or 12 gauge) which gives it, it's durable feel.

THE FINISH:
Emulating a look as if aged, the sterling is finished in a heavily oxidized-"Vintage Revival" finishing. The oxidation is left deep in the crevices & with this type of finishing, tends to give it more of a 'Chiaroscuro' sort of contrast, with wonderful light/dark contrasting. The beauty of having this finishing is for the fact that you don't need to polish it!

WRIST SIZE:
This is made for a medium sized wrist that needs a smaller gap. Cuffs fit different than any other type bracelet & it is important they fit right! A cuff I may mention, is NOT put on at the bone of the wrist(Bones don't move) ,but rather just above the wrist bone, where it's more fleshy. Then once on, you'll then pull it down to the actual wrist where the wrist bone is(To learn more about cuff fitting, please click: How To Fit A Cuff below)

Please know wrist size before purchasing & if you need my help, please don't hesitate in contacting me!! I can definitely guide you.

**Artist, sterling cost, stone size, the stone's quality & the cost per carat for natural high quality turquoise are all reflected in price**
