A PERSONAL WORD:
I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this cuff!! It’s a piece that literally needs no introduction — truly beyond belief.
First of all, when I’m out buying jewelry, a piece either speaks to me or it doesn’t.. I’m incredibly grateful to have been born with an incredible eye that I rely on every time I shop. The piece has to check every box for me: exceptional workmanship so that when I scope it up and down, I can read the years of experience the artist has in every detail, the clear hand of the artist, and the time poured into its creation. Equally important is the quality of the stone(s), and it doesn’t hurt to have some “Wow Factor” in there as well! This cuff has all that and more — it’s a stunning, undeniable piece that immediately spoke to me.
THE CUFF:
When you get this in hand, there are a few things you’ll notice right away: 1st, the substantial 8-gauge metal weight that gives it a solid, heirloom feel; 2nd, the exceptional quality, vibrant color, and generous size of the stone; and 3rd, of course, Al’s impeccable workmanship and attention to every meticulous detail.
There was only one other cuff I stocked that featured this phenomenal color/quality Sonoran Gold turquoise, so cuts like this aren’t easy to come by! The stone displays a striking, picture-esque character — a rich, landscape-like pattern that is truly mesmerizing and impossible to ignore.
The cut has a true turquoise color, and if you zoom in on the photos you’ll even notice deep green tones that float around the matrix. The large oval cut is set horizontally so it covers the top of the wrist with minimal sterling visible. The stone is beautifully beveled and rests in its own handmade sawtooth bezel.
The cut rests atop a fully designed sterling shank with a scalloped perimeter. The lined curves along the edge, which look like appliqués soldered onto the base, create an intriguing illusion of being both applied and inherent to the design, when actually they are stamped into the base and are not appliques! (See photo 10) All of the handmade appliqués are actually raised, whereas they are not. Scattered across the cuff are handmade conchos in various sizes, assorted beads, repeating “S” patterns, and on one side a Thunderbird motif appears, while the other side remains plain. Every single element of this cuff is made entirely by hand. That is the true beauty of Al’s work: he is proudly old school and refuses to use prefabricated, store-bought supplies.
SIZING:
This cuff is made for a small size wrist that’s on the “Smallest” side of medium.. It has a 1” gap opening which is great for a wrist that’s not so "fleshy and meaty". Because of the heavy gauge sterling, this is not adjustable... So it does help to know your wrist size & what gap you need to go over the arm comfortably before purchasing, since cuffs fit different than any other type bracelet, which means they have to fit properly!

PRICING IS BASED ON:
****You are paying for not only the name of the Artist & Albert’s decades old reputation, but mostly it’s the turquoise & it’s quality, the cost paid per carat for this over the top type of quality and the amount of carats (Alot!) , as well as the outrageous rising cost of sterling & increasing in price . Unfortunately, this was made after the price of sterling had increased in price! Also reflected in price, is the time involved to make a cuff this great!.****

PLEASE READ:
****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color. I find however, that photographing anything with 'yellow' in it, (oranges, greens) can come up a little more vivid than other colors, so please take this into consideration. Please understand that each monitor varies and also plays a role in how vibrant or less vibrant as something appears. *****
To give you close up photos, pictures can tend to make the item look gigantic & everything is more magnified than in actuality.. So to get an accurate idea of how big this is ,please either check it out on the wrist (photos ) or you can pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements
