A PERSONAL WORD:

We all love Federico’s jewelry for different reasons, so while some of us collect his romantic Oaxaca Dove jewelry and intricate filigree work, others prefer to wear his bold, over-the-top statement creations. But you can bet that there is one thing that everyone agrees on, and that is the constant “OMG” and “WOW” reactions his pieces inspire, whether they’re petite treasures or the massively HUGE, signature jewelry that proudly bears his name.

This 4-5/8” statuesque cuff is the perfect example of what helped Federico’s name rise to the top and capture a worldwide audience of admirers. Few artists create jewelry as boldly oversized (if not magnificently massive!!) as he does, and such commanding work remains uniquely his. And when we see these large pieces that are classy & sophisticated, there’s only one name that comes to mind, and that is the name “FEDERICO”!

THE CUFF:

We invite you to soak up and be intrigued by some of Federico’s striking new abstract “Native Chief” designs that not only have us excited, but are a collection he is especially proud to present.

This cuff is creatively designed to emulate a Native “Chief” and is designed primarily from warm, rusty color orange-red/orange & purple Spiny Oyster shell with a few shimmering Abalone accents. The headdress features a single row of evenly matched 7 mm round cuts that surround the just under 1” round ‘faceless’ face. The large oval body has an impressive size that measures roughly 1.50” x 1-1/8”, whereas its arms are made with chunky oval cuts ovals decorated with an outer cluster of the same sized cuts that’s in the headdress. The legs have roughly the same size cuts as the arms. The Abalone feet are oriented outward for a expressive stance. Finally, the clustered figure is carefully soldered to a tapered shank that has been entirely hand-tooled, completing a piece that blends meticulous workmanship with the choice of materials.(See backside photo)

SIZING:

This cuff is designed to fit a large 6-7/8” wrist size, and is meant for a wrist that is wide (‘east-west’) but not so ‘meaty and fleshy’, since it only has a 1” gap opening. (This gap can be opened or closed down some with ‘know how’.) A wider gap is generally more comfortable for someone with a little meatier wrist, while a smaller gap tends to suit skinnier wrists better. To determine if this gap opening is right for you, you can measure the gap on a cuff that fits you well and compare it to this one.

There are 2 ways you can wear this.. The face going toward the hand or you can turn it around & have the body going up the arm.(See 2nd,3rd photo) Because of it’s length, If you wear it as shown in the 2nd photo, you can avoid it extending down near the top of the hand, by wearing the cuff somewhere around 1/2” to 1” or so up from the wrist so it’s sitting on the arm, rather than the wrist. When you wear it there, the feet should be sitting closer to the wrist area.

So please know your wrist/arm size before purchasing, since cuffs fit different than any other type bracelet & it is of extreme importance they fit right!
