A WORD:

One thing Federico instinctually knows is which materials complement each other when paired together, and he has a rare talent for sensing how different elements will interact. Both pearls AND abalone play a major role in many of his creations, and there are few combinations he hasn’t beautifully executed; but when he chooses to use these God‑given aquatic gems, whether set alone or artfully mixed with other materials like turquoise, coral, or any other for material for that matter, that’s when the results are consistently and truly breathtaking.

THE RING:

Designed in a bold, over the top size that has Federico’s signature look written all over it, this statement ring is guaranteed to make heads turn and have everyone “oohing and aahing” over it, eager for a closer look! If the substantial size alone doesn’t command their attention, the iridescent, shimmery, swirly colors certainly will, by catching the light and drawing admiring glances from every angle.

It’s truly a feminine-looking ring, and by adding those pearls it also takes the Abalone’s to an even more refined and sophisticated level of beauty!

Bezel set atop a substantial mass of sterling are 12 rectangular abalone cuts arranged in two different sizes, which together beautifully frame and draw attention to the large pearl floral center. The abalone’s base tone reads as a soft taupe, yet when light catches the surface you’re rewarded with periwinkle blues and lime greens that seem to glow from within, revealing and amplifying the shell’s natural vibrancy and depth. To help protect the abalone from the elements and to enhance its appearance, each abalone cut appears to have a thin resin-like coating that adds a subtle extra shine while preserving the shell’s delicate luster.

Because of it’s stately size, this makes the perfect middle finger ring!

THE ADJUSTABLE SHANK:

The shank is done in a bypass style & is adjustable. It's presently sized at a size 7-1/4.. If you zoom in on the underside, you’ll see there’s hardly any room to go down in size to make it smaller, but rather, it is meant to ‘go up’ in size. For me personally, I find that it's easier for me to adjust up in size by putting the ring on a ring mandrel & stretching it, than to go down in size. So if you need me to go up a 1 to no more than 1-1/2 sizes, (No more than) please let me know at the time of purchasing!! Sizing the ring will not work, if you’re trying to go from a 7-1/4 to a 10!

In the photos, I did not use any features when I edited the pictures that would give you a false color, but rather, what I did do, was turned the abalone toward the light so you can witness all the color that is naturally there.
