EGYPTIAN TURQUOISE (PRINCE TURQUOISE)

Today's Egyptian Turquoise is still mined from the original, ancient mines of the Sinai Peninsula. Egyptian reverence for turquoise is evident in historical references and modern culture continues to honor the significance and sacred nature of turquoise. Egyptian turquoise was used by healers, royal families and is featured in some of the most iconic Egyptian artifacts known to humanity. Hard stone (Which relates to 'Quality" in turquoise) with rich color variations and strong red and golden matrixes, each stone is coming from the same mines that once supplied legendary Pharaohs and Kings. Sought after around the world, Egyptian Turquoise is favored by the most serious collectors.

THE RING:

One thing this ring has going for it, is it's staggering jaw-droppin' character!!! In fact it's this mines matrix coloring and patterns that make this particular turquoise SO desirable! These cuts have their unique blues that are unlike USA blue turquoise, but the matrix color can remind you somewhat of our Bisbee or even Red Mountain turquoise..

Bea chose 3 chunky size ovals to line the center & 18 smaller rounded rectangular cuts that act as a halo while they beautifully frame them. The stones sit low in a 'scallop' bezel, which gives a more ornate look because of this. The shank is just as sweet, where you can see the love and time Bea put into it!! (See photos 10,11,12) Outside the face of the ring are traditional Navajo little 1/4 moon appliques. The stones are set in a oxidized satin finished sterling.

**I have another ring of Bea's that is listed (See last photo)Only that one is made with a vibrant blue Sonoran Rose Turquoise!** (Listed under this same category)
