A LITTLE ABOUT AZURITE

Azurite is probably one of the prettiest minerals out there..It's name comes from it's striking azure-blue color,which makes it a much sought out rock because of the intensity of colors it has..The color has these deep mouthwatering blue like Lapis colors & sometimes people can be confused to think it is such & especially when the cut is without the green Malachite that it often occurs with.

Azurite was not only used as far back as the Egyptian days,but was widely used during the Mexican Silver Renaissance days,where artists in the mid century days of Taxco would use this wonderful stone in their pieces.

THE RING:

This ring is the perfect example of the beautiful characteristics that are known to Azurite.. The azurite displays the INTENSE cobalt blue known to this stone & has a little green in it.. The tiny pearl cluster halo really adds a beautiful touch to the ring itself & gives it a real feminine feel.

The Azurite & Pearls are set atop of a generous amount of sterling & is made with an adjustable bypass shank that has stamp work that gives the metal some pizzazz. It is presently set at a 8-1/2 and with this type of bypass shank,I find that it's easier to go up in size than to go down in size.. If you need me to go up 1 to 1-1/2 sizes for you,(No more than) please let me know at the time of purchasing!! However,please be aware that the more it's opened, the more the shank gets separated from it's closed position.

**I want to mention that what looks defective to the Azurite, is actually inherit to the stone & is not defective! Please know that close up photos make everything look more major than what you actually see in person.** (Please do not buy if this may bother you)
