What some do with paint brushes or what others do in sculpting stone,Kathy's medium is creating art in metal form, with NO 2 pieces of art alike! She is probably one of the most creative artists I am more than honored to carry, where each & every piece ALWAYS leaves me breathless! She is the 'epitome' of a TRUE artist whose work never goes & will never will go unnoticed! She "owns" her own identity & never will you find her copying others!

This 'Rock Star' jeweler was born & raised in New Mexico & now makes Texas her home. But regardless of now being a Texas resident, she lets us know through the pieces she makes, that New Mexico takes up a good portion of her heart & is never far from home.She is a veteran jeweler & has about 30 years under her belt.

You'll find both the Native & Mexican influences that come from N.M ,with many having a spiritual theme.Her pieces are literally treasures to own,just like any piece of collectible art. They are creations that are made with a heart full of love behind each & every one & will spoil you with joy every time you look at it!

DESCRIPTION:

The "Corn Maiden Kachina" is the grandmother of sun and the light & in the Pueblo culture corn is to the people, the very symbol of life. The "Corn Maiden Kachina" brings the power of life to it's people..

This isn't just a ring,but truly a piece of art,with a story of Native culture behind it & it is interpreted through the eyes of Kathy.

When you look at this, it can bring you right to the open field of corn, on a bright hot sunny day, while the happy floral Zuni Pueblo "Sunface" Maiden looks down upon her gifts of the land. A cross is placed below the land, showing it all comes from the highest being...Everything is hand drawn & then cut & placed appropriately in their places.

Equally impressive is that this isn't just designed on the front where the eye goes, but the backside & shank are both artistically designed as well!! (See backside photos ) What I love are the beads that make a floral pattern & gives this such a special touch to the ring!!

The shank is made of a 3 split wire,with each having their own stamped design.The ring is weighty because of all the sterling used,so it's nice & hefty..

This is not a ring to be passed up & once it's gone,it's gone!!! It can only bring a smile to your face & hold a special place in your heart! It's a real keeper!
