Marita is Navajo & was born & raised in Steamboat,AZ.Compared to many other artists,Marita didn't get started til the late 1990's,in which she gives all the credit to her husband"Daniel Benally"for teaching her everything that she knows about silver & design.She loves creating highly detailed & articulated designs..Presently,she lives in Gallup,NM.

Using the most phenomenal colored chunk of gem quality natural,non treated Carico Lake turquoise for the body,Marita went on to create every part of this cute bug around it!! The beetle is remarkably hand fabricated,from the twisted wired legs,it's cute antennas,the body work & turquoise eyes.It is a piece of art & no doubt,it's a piece that can't help but get noticed!
Made with versatility.you can wear this as a pin or use the shepherds hook to hang on a strand of oxidized Navajo Pearls.If you do choose to wear this as a pin,personally I would not choose a delicate fabric because of the weight & size..
It's obvious this took thought & time & validates Marita's status as being a reputable & highly qualified artist.
