Federico is not known for creating ‘small & dainty’ pieces; instead, he is celebrated for designing some of the best massively bold jewelry, with this piece serving as the perfect example of his distinctive work. The size truly embodies the “Signature” Federico style.

With an impressive wingspan of 7 inches (YES, a full 7 inches!!), the dragonfly is intricately encrusted with old vintage mine-cut faceted Swarovski crystals that Federico acquired from a New York vendor many years ago. The crystals have all the colors of the rainbow & can remind you somewhat of a good flawless mine cut diamond! The good thing about Swarovski crystals is for the fact that they don’t dull & maintain their sparkle no matter how old they get!! Combining the substantial size with all that dazzling bling, this is a piece that naturally demands attention wherever it is worn. The crystals themselves are nice and chunky, packed with an abundance of sparkle that catches the light brilliantly, making it impossible to go unnoticed.

The crystals are bezel set atop an oxidized sterling silver base that has been meticulously stamped with delicate, tiny detailing. The backsides of the crystals are intentionally left open, allowing the crystals to emit maximum sparkle and light reflection. The body and tail feature a beautiful graduation of various oval turquoise stones, each sourced from different mines across the USA, adding depth and rich color variation. Separating the body from the wings are floral clusters on each side, composed of round-cut turquoise stones surrounding a central cabochon garnet, which adds a subtle yet striking boost of warm color. Additionally, a cut amethyst elegantly decorates the tail, enhancing the overall palette of the piece.

The shepherd’s hook is generously sized and designed to accommodate nearly any necklace bead size, ranging from small to large. However, due to the weight and substantial size of the pendant, we recommend pairing it with chunkier beads to maintain balance and ensure the dragonfly sits comfortably. Choosing a longer necklace is also advisable so the pendant can hang away from the neckline, showcasing its intricate workmanshipand bold presence beautifully.
