One thing you can't say about this necklace, is that the stone's are too small or the color's not blue enough!!!

This BOLD statement necklace is an under statement & if any artist knows how to 'do statement', it is jewelry that bares this man's name..He instinctually knows how to create these 'powerful-over the top' pieces that are so tastefully designed & seem to always grab the attention of others!

Known for producing some amazing blue turquoise,this is made with some killer-vivid blue Arizona turquoise that has a color too die for! Hand picking only the biggest,bluest stones that were on hand,this signature southwest-Santa Fe style necklace is made with cuts of both Morenci & Kingman turquoise,with the majority being Morenci..Forget about matching the stones up perfectly in shape & size! It was more important to create a necklace that matched more for their vibrant blue color & their large size cuts,than it's uniformity! All the uncalibrated cuts are in a free form shape & have no specific shape.

Because of using these large (If not huge!) cuts from various parts of the mines,you get all the characteristics known to them! There is quartz,pyrite & because of Morenci being THE biggest copper mine in the USA,you even have cuts where a metallic looking copper is within the cuts! I learned years ago that when you get those bits of copper,makes the turquoise much more rare & valuable..(See photos 4 & 8) There is a massive amount of carat weight to each stone ,with some not only being long & wide,but many sitting above the bezel!

The length & the generous 3/4 pound weight is dictated by these 17 hefty cuts that are bezel set in a contemporary finished sterling.So this does have weight to it,so please pay attention to that before purchasing. Each section is linked by 'o' rings,so if you wanted to fold this up & take it with you when you travel,this connection allows you to do that!
