Those of you who have been collecting Vintage Mexican jewelry may recognize this design that we mainly see in pins that are usually designed with amethyst,green art glass(Green Onyx) or Onyx stones.. Federico pays homage to this wonderful design that was extremely popular in the 1940's .

These are some very sophisticated style earrings that are made with a big bow & has sterling beading on the top & underlying part of the bow..A big 10 mm round cabochon of black onyx is bezel set in the center.This design would not be emulated perfectly without having the marquise cut onyx dangles, that have their own unique housing where the tips of the marquise cuts are sheltered..The housing has a backing of sterling & they are anchored from a 1940's Mexican style hand made connecting chain....(see photos 6 & 7)

These are 'mirrored' style earrings where there is a actual right & left earring.You can however, wear the shorter dangle toward the face or you can wear the longer dangle closest to the face.Thats your call! Both ways work!

These would look fabulous with any black outfit,casual or elegant,as well as a perfect addition to any Vintage Mexican jewelry collection!!(and especially if you own the pin that came from the 40's!!)
