THE EARRINGS:

Helping to showcase the luminous elegance of the silvery-hued white pearls, a turquoise cluster top anchors each hoop, lending them an ultra-sophisticated Santa Fe’an/ Southwestern vibe. The clip-on tops feature a gorgeous round cut of high-grade Sleeping Beauty turquoise at the center, surrounded by small oval cuts of Royston turquoise forming the crown. In the hoop drop, hang 10.5 mm long, fairly well-matched, yet slightly irregular baroque pearls, which contribute significantly to the hoop’s perfectly formed hoop. Achieving that balanced curve required a keen eye and exceptional attention to detail, with each pearl being carefully handpicked for harmony and proportion.

The material is set in a high bezel of heavy-gauge, mirror-polished sterling silver, which adds significant presence and contributes to the earrings' substantial weight—(80 grams!). Because of that noticeable heft, there really was no other practical choice but to make these clip-on earrings. (Put simply, you wouldn’t have any earlobes left if we tried to keep them on posts! Haha!)

With the cost of sterling being on shaky ground, while it fluctuates daily, the rising cost is reflected in what artists have to now pay per gram or ounce for the metal.. Artists are now charging more because of this.

Also factored into the price for these, is the artist’s name and reputation, the number of carats and the cost per carat for the materials used.. Also included is the need to compensate the artisan (And or staff) for their time and expertise required to create these.
